Physical Education Program
Mission
Promotes the physical and emotional development of students through sports activities in Physical Education class with their respective teams. This mission responds to efficient, intelligent and responsible movement as part of a healthy lifestyle, and its personal development and integration.

In Physical Education class we promote recreation at all times, healthy lifestyles and with a healthy mind for their development to integrate as a human being.
Cheerleading Teams
The Santa Rosa de Lima Academy has two Cheerleading teams.
The mini team, which brings together girls from Kindergarten to 6th grade, is led by our math teacher, Mrs. Agnes Rosado.
The Youth team gathers students in grades 7 through 12. It is currently led by our 2nd grade teacher, Ms. Diana Martis. The goal of this team is to develop cheerleading athletes who will earn future college scholarships. In addition, it aspires to participate in a future of regional competitions in Puerto Rico and national competitions in the United States.

Sports Offering
Participation in the Athletic Association of Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of San Juan (AAECA)
Children up to 6th grade can participate in “Mini” category teams. 7th and 8th grade children can participate in “Youth” category teams.

Annual Invitational Volleyball Tournament Celebration. In recognition of the extracurricular work of our athletes, an annual sports award is held.
Gym
The Academy offers the opportunity to use the gym. This is available for the use of our students in grades 9-12 and up Monday through Thursday from 3:00 to 5:00 PM.
On Mondays and Wednesdays it can be used by boys, on Tuesdays and Thursdays it can be used by girls.
After School - Indoor Soccer
As part of our After School Program we offer Indoor Soccer classes here at the Academy. These classes have an additional cost and are offered every Friday from 3:00 to 5:00 PM here at the Academy. For additional information contact the Finance office with Mrs. Virmarie Portillo.
